About

Hi, I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer, living in Blackpool, Lancashire.

Photography has been my passion since I bought my first 110 Halina camera when I was 14 years old. I then progressed to various compact film cameras over the years, and my hobby became more serious when I received my first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 300, in 1999. I have since jumped on the digital bandwagon and recently upgraded my camera to a Canon EOS 7D, leaving the Canon EOS 300D and 30D in the cupboard.

I have been lucky enough to be published in books, magazines and calendars, and this encourages me to strive harder to improve my work.
I take photos purely because I love to do so, and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy making them.

I make all my images by using various Neutral Density filters, mainly Lee filters. I try to capture the image in-camera and capturing the right conditions is what it is all about. I do not use HDR or similar software products nor do I use a large amount of Photoshop. Most of the post-processing work is the expected tweaking when making a RAW file capture, i.e., levels, contrast and sharpening, and some minor adjustments where I feel the image can be improved.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my website.
